Question: How do you upgrade the 645DF camera body firmware?
Answer: Step 1: Set the V-Grip's service switch to "Normal".
Step 2: Mount your V-Grip on the camera and connect it to the computer's USB port (a 5 pole Mini USB connector is located in the battery compartment, just next to the Channel selector).
Step 3: Make sure the camera is on
Step 4: Download the Firmware updater. Here is the link. Once started this will automatically check online for a new version of firmware and present you with a button to download it if not already done. Question: How can I set the ael button as a focus button on the Phase One 645DF?
Answer: Step 1: Set custom Function 9 to 1 (Swap function of AEL and AFL buttons)
Step 2: Change Custom function 12 to 1 (AFL to AF operation)
This will still keep the half press control over auto focus.
You can lock the focus by holding down the AEL button while triggering.
Step 3: You can also disable the Half Press function by changing Custom Function 10 to 2

Question: How can I synch correctly at 1/1600s using LS lenses on a Phase One 645DF ?
Answer: Our advice is to set the 'V' grip internal transmitter to fast and pair it with a Profoto Air transmitter. Pocket wizards did not do the trick. The other solution is to hard wire the camera to the pack.
